what do i know now that i would tell myself when i was twenty: september blog-o-sphere think tank.

********

what do i know now
that i would tell myself when i was twenty??

****

no amount of alcohol, drugs, or sex will fill that hole in your soul.

****

colour, art, and journaling will be your therapy.

****

through loving those with like-injured souls will you learn to live with compassion.

****

you will finally be at home in the alpine hinterlands of alaska.

****

you will find true love.

****

treat your friends well:
they are your angels.

****

that career of yours will turn into a mission of love.
at times it will break your heart.
at times you will laugh your sox off.
self-less love will be the lesson.

****

sometimes flowers are better than food.

****

one day you will look at yourself and say
"....i am beautiful...."

****

life is good.

Hey there lovely,
Yeah you, with the coyote eyes and chickadee smile.
Rabbits taught you a lot, and the hound did too.
You've graduated with flying colors from
The school of hard knocks.
But, that's what's made you YOU.
Did you ever think, that you're a teacher of sorts.
To those you don't even know?
That your path leads others to find their way.
To hope and calm and joy in hard times.
Huh, girl of the hinterland?
Xxoo
