an occurrence.

can you possibly grasp
how
fortunate
we are to see this amazing
occurrence??
i feel
blessed.
electrified.
enveloped by magic and wonder.
i feel like shouting
alleluia and amen
and
namaste
all at once.

my friend
tells it best.

once a year:
re-string the favourite beads
to keep the lines
fresh and strong.

once a year:
winter solstice.
as is my delight to do:
go outside in the middle of the night
and
dance
and sing
under the stars
and all the heavenly bodies.
peace to all who wander under the stars....

believe me, mona: i freeze my ever-lovin' ass off on my little jaunts outside but i feel so ALIVE doing so! [smile] the brief trips are too short to put on coat/hat/gloves/etc so i just whip outside, glance up, say a prayer or sing a song and go back inside energized and alive!

i dont think I would feel alive. i think i would cry. i already cry in the winter here. i think i would double-cry. is it possible to invent such a thing? you are a brave, brave woman, Marie.....:)

kerin: i cried. i double-cried. when i saw my yoga teacher at the grocery last night and we talked about the event, we both cried. OH. DUH. you mean cry from the cold. no, i cried from sheer emotion because of the power of what i witnessed. and i cry often when i go outside in the winter and look at the sky. i'm headed to sirius when i leave this sphere. [smile]
