out and about on blue.

********
the house was too small today:
too confining.
it's not just a summer thing:
those of you who know me well
know that i am outdoors all winter
as well as
all summer.

except for extremely rainy days.

the usual accoutrements in blue's basket:
poem.
i-pod shuffle.
drinking water.
holy water container.
camera.
bear spray.
bear bells.

 stopped as eska creek:
pinkened granite on her streambed.

as is my ritual once a year:
in the spring.
empty out the holy water.
fill the container with fresh holy water.

my religion is a mix of rites and traditions and beliefs.
raised catholic.
the outdoors is my church.

in my yard:
prayer flags carry my supplications in the wind.

so when i say this you'll know it to be true:
i believe in the powers of the holy waters of eska creek.

at least someone believes in the same religion
as do i.

  meanwhile,
the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.  *

life is good.
this dance of life is so very sweet.

sounds like a very productive time out of the house.
people with big souls can be difficult to contain.
