down rabbit slough.

 ********

one last trip on the water.
one last time in a boat.
not-summer is fast approaching and the mornings prove quite chilly....

the truck was loaded for the day:
fishing gear.
rubber raft.
motor.
life vests for all.
oranges and minneolas.
a thermos of tea with cream and honey.

life is good.
so very very good.

You've got your name engraved on your fly rod! I've got my own "sweetheart" rod but my name ain't on it, miss sweet marie bell!!
I'm in love with the last picture.

Oh wait. I can tell that's not a fly rod by the line. A pole. Yes, you Alaskan gals use poles when you're up the rabbit... ;)

haven't seen any rabbits.

mister pencilfox purchased that rod/reel [hobbit-length rod, shimano "cardiff" reel] for my christmas gift three years ago. had it "wrapped" with my colours, as you can see.

that last photo....ziggy fell asleep on my feet, with his paw on the boat line. it was too sweet.

i wish to learn to use a fly rod....will you come teach me??
