Looks like a fun evening! I've had a few people tell me that I should join Madison's Team-the Mad Rollin' Dolls.
Glad you had a good time.

Crazy fun and ducky prize for the Mr. Yay-ya!
I notice all the men were wearing cowboy hats! Is that an Alaskan thing, too?

red dirt.
you would have LOVED this: the "colours" were presented by the local rodeo riders' group, horse included. yes: a horse was ridden into the sports arena. two riders held the flag in front of the horse's shoulders. i wanted to snap a photo but all i have is ye olde antiquated digital camera with flash. mister pencilfox warned me against spooking the horse. but still, i held you close as i held my hand over my heart, looking at the horse and the flag. it was perfect.

the cowboy hats you see in the crowd are from the rodeo riders that attended the bout. most of the men wear billed-caps.
