a day in the garden.

********

i took myself up coyote hill,
carrying buckets and drinking water and a book of poetry.
a warm and gentle breeze was blowing. i sat in the cover of the perfect trees,
gulping water,
reading,
praying.
i sat for the longest time, eyes closed, feeling the wind cleanse me, inside-to-out,
carrying away all those feelings that had clawed their way out of my heart,
now clinging to my skin.
i feel the need to talk this all out with
someone anyone
and so shall i do this.
it is time for mind-purging, for affirmation,
for feeling comfortable in my own hide and fur.

****

life is good.
i remind myself of this….

I will tell you a story, in the letter you'll receive.
I'll ask you questions, and if you answer loud and long enough,
if we're lucky,
the trees will listen and that wind will carry our conversation back and forth
in between the forests
in between us.

Sometimes, the wind is my best friend. It gently caresses me. It listens without judging. It allows me to answer my own questions.
May you find peace with the wind, the trees, and the knowledge that we, too, are here for you.xx

isn't that what we [should] all want - to be heard without judgment, to be allowed to be ourselves, to find peace within - ??
may you have peace, also.
