lichen on cottonwood.
wee man doggie on my heels, trusty and true with every step. 
first snowshoe trip of the season. 

barely enough snow to cover the grasses and forest undergrowth, 

barely enough to keep my 'shoes from tangling up.

we hung yet more prayer flags in the forest.

we stood together as i recited some poetry.
