Ha! Wonderful start to a new year.
That's quite a tent! Did you make a haul of fish? Will you smoke them?
Well, those pups look like they had the most fun.
You look happy. Must have been good for your soul, Bernard.

I grew up fishing the icy waters of the northern Great Lakes. Your post brings back many fond (and frozen) memories of those days.
There's nothing like a day on the ice, surrounded by the silence of winter. Good stuff.

i have to laugh....because....i wanted silence, but there were *many noisy folks out there fishing and having fun....so it was rather sweet to listen to their rowdiness.

oh, yes....they love being with us, and being outdoors with us....
and pinto is plumb fish-crazy, shaking with anticipatory and real excitement. ziggy just loves being with us, not so crazy about the fish....and he loves to snowshoe....

a beautiful week to thee, as well....
