Moving Through.

Thanksgiving.
For me, it's an almost-everyday thing to attempt achieving.
It's a practice.
Gratefulness and thanksgiving.
*
It's been 54 days since Pintō went Home.
And, 25 days after she left my side --- tu me manques --- Maxie was adopted into this family.
His presence in this house has become a focusing of my attention
away from grieving Pintō's absence.
I'm really torn about this.
I feel strongly that death --- and parting from physical into spirit --- should be honoured.
It's more than just "how I was raised." It's more like, it's what my spirit feels should be done.
I believe there should be time and space for honouring who the beloved was in their life,
and in the lives of those who shared a daily connection with the departed soul.
However, there's not been much time for me to hold space for Pintō with Maxie needing so very much oversight.
And, then, there's wee Berry grieving the absence of his sister. It's so hard to watch.
Berr acts-out his feelings in a manner I wish I could follow suit
and get away with.
And, Milo. He, too, grieved for a period of time, sequestering himself
in my office/art/sewing space.
So, I cease fighting against knowing whom to bestow my attention upon.
I simply practice being present to what needs to be observed and tended to.
And, when the grief hits --- and it does, most certainly --- I simply lean-in
and allow the tears to flow.
