saturday: i did not chew off my arms.

trapper.
long story short:
trapped 'im on easter sunday.
he'd been hanging around talking to tuffy.
set the live trap.
that's the short version of the story.

tuffy.
he's been my bunny for years.
look at those ears:
he was the runt of the litter
and
his littermates mistreated him.
his mother's name was pippy:
named for michael's best friend
bobby pipkin
who died too young
and we still miss him.
bobby got me into rabbits years ago.
he raised rabbits behind his pawn shop in anchorage.
'suppose you didn't need to know all that
but now you do.

and:
my nickname since childhood:
bunny.
[yes.]

i adore rabbits.

so:
the day went pretty doggone well
and
in spite of my saying
"i'd rather chew my arms off than go carve wood"
i still have my arms
and the day went pretty doggone well.

tomorrow:
update and photos from the woodcarving workshop.
jake: are you reading this?
jake is my new friend:
met him and his mother
while at the woodcarving workshop.

goodnight: sleep well, all.

I love bunnies, and I was thinking the other day how much I wanted to carve wood...however, seeing that I cut my fingertip chopping onions...I wonder if that is telling me something...still, I love the smell of wood...love your bunny! xo

thank you, mona: i love bunnies, too :)

the thing about carving wood, for me: don't like taking a piece of wood and carving it into "something". i discovered my passion: working with sticks. the "diamonds" are already within and all i have to do is enhance them, embellish them. when i carved a spoon, it took me HOURS and it still sits unfinished in my kitchen.
