after a few rough days of soul-searching and self-finding and salon-shopping, 

i tucked a few old photos into my journal

and closed my eyes as the sweet young master designer took the first snips. 

my spirit feels freer and my heart is lighter. 

and so, we go forth, my head and i, 
in more ways than one.
