out and about in my hometown.

i've been elsewhere since mid-november.
and since i know it never works for me to try to figure it out
i just rolled with it.
work and groceries have been the only reasons for me to hit the southward road.

this evening, my heart was drawn northward.
i hopped into the jeep and drove myself to the library,
where i found just what my spirit needed to fill me up again:
hugs all around.
the city-street noise of teens making art.
laughter.
quiet reading in hideaway corners.
that blue light, in and out and through.

my soul found the songs it was seeking.

life is good.

Books are always good solace. You and me, far different places, both in our libraries. Love the pictures.

you would have loved the energy inside the library last evening….full of teens and gentle noise and joy.
