the reminder presented itself to me: 

love thyself. 

prayerfully and thoughtfully, i prepared what i thought to be a small salad, 

packaged it up for myself to carry to work. 

a gal at work is going through some hard times, little money, little food. 

thinking upon her sweet presence in my life, 

i retrieved a beautifully-flowered pottery bowl from the file cabinet

which suffices as my so-called desk, 

split the salad, 

and presented her part to her. 

my life is so stinking doggone good. 

i must love myself, 

and then pour out the love onto others around me. 

it's all about breathing in light, breathing out light, 

leaning in, 

and simply being the light.
