maying.

may.
verb.
[origin: before 1050; middle english, latin.]
to gather flowers in the spring: when we were maying.

****

on a quick trip up coyote hill to visit the garden and water the wee sprouting plants,
out of the corner of my eye i spy a patch of snow white starry petals.
starflowers!
my beloved favourite wildflowers!
they are blooming, and quite prolifically, i must add!
nearby, a fuschia-pink wild alaska rose is trying to steal the show.
look at me! i'm the colour of a lace slip 'neath the flouncy skirt
of a klondike goldrush saloon girl!

this is spring.
this is what i live for after a long winter.

****

life is good.

May. It's like magic.
It sure is doing amazing things around the PF acres!
Did you press one of your star flowers?
It's good to see you blooming yourself, I might add.
