four degrees of winter.

********

eight inches of snow-on-snow, four winter degrees of fahrenheit.
i knew i would find my way outdoors at some point.
waiting for the temps to rise was pointless, with the highest quickly dropping
once the sun bowed to our mountain range.
the mission this day was to hang a new strand of tiny paper prayer flags,
to say a prayer for a friend as i hung the flags in the tree.

back indoors, hot tea and mohair mitts.

life is pretty doggone good, you know?

prayer flags in the wind. hot tea and mohair mitts....perfect. such a serene picture you've painted, that blue-white sky, that silent snow.
yes, life is good. xx

it was quiet beyond quiet in the snow. except for the crunching beneath my snowshoes because the snow was so dry….if that makes sense….

life is good. let's remember that, together. xx

It IS a good life if we can go outside, appreciate the little moments, capture that sun bowing below the mountain range, come inside for tea. How wonderful. Your words help me remember this.
