december blog-o-sphere think tank :: looking forward.

********

this post is to be written about looking forward.

i'm just not very good at forward-thinking and future-planning.
it's just not in my nature.
i pretty much live in the moment, one day at a time.
so many occurrences and happenings oftentime halt my scheduling,
so i learn to go with the flow.

however :: i shall entertain the topic and address it accordingly.

*

i look forward to snow.
our snowfall melted and then re-froze into ice.
the snowshoe'ing is horrid right now.
some adequate snowcover would be grand.
we have little bursts and spurts of lovely snowflakes falling,
then it all stops.
so suddenly.

i look forward to planning the spring-2016 garden.
i am already receiving seed catalogs in the mail.
it is fun to peruse them, looking at what is new,
pondering what would work in our garden space.
i miss pulling greens every day....having fresh salad at the ready.

i look forward to *maybe a trip outside.
outside, of course, being what alaska oldtimers refer to as
the continental united states of america.
i have been invited to visit out there and i just may do so.

i look forward to helping mister pencilfox with his workshop planning.
and that involves loading/moving dirt and gravel,
playing with the excavator and the loader.
the loader she frightens me as she is such a large piece of machinery.
but the excavator, well, i can handle him.

i look forward to keeping in contact with family in illinois and texas.
we recently all reconnected, and it felt good to do so.
there are new wee ones in texas who blessed our hearts when we met them.
and there's a very special little guy in illinois whose parents are doing an
impressive job of schooling and raising.

i look forward to knitting.

i have a couple projects planned and requested
but i need to get my mindset into the proper gears.

i look forward to feeling better.

although i am quite healthy, all it takes is a couple setbacks
to remind me that if i didn't eat that
my body would operate at optimum.
henceforth, guidance from a professional source
and accountability to commit and follow through.

and....i look forward to reading the posts of my fellow bloggers....!!!!

Going with the flow. That's a good thing.
I can see you thumbing through seed catalogs...picking out some pretty flowers, hardy veggies..."looking forward" to another planting season.
You know I'm a daydreamer. I do more "looking forward" than the average person, I'm afraid. Always planning way ahead...my summer is full, and it's not even January, yet! ;)

A fine list of things to look forward to. But DO live in the moment, and make the most of each one of those moments.
