This day.

******

This day began a bit too early for my liking,
but I can also call an end to it when I am ready.
That's what I like about being my own boss
now that I hang out at home.
Well, I'm not really my own boss,
because my friends know who the real bosses are in this house.

This day began with Buffalo Milo
astral-projecting
his voice into my head.
Have you ever watched
The Cat from Outer Space - ??
If you have, you know to what I am referring.
If you have not watched it, you need to. Really. You need to.

This day began with a walkabout on Coyote Hill,
me still in pajamas
with my boots and a walking stick,
the pack accompanying me.

This day is right now about over,
and it's been quite full,
to include sewing five face coverings to be mailed to
a dear soul here in Alaska.
Her service to others
contributes to The Greater Good.
Have you ever been in the midst of working on something,
and all of a sudden
you notice that it all feels right,
and meant to be,
and blessed by the heavenlies,
and you yourself feel patient,
and loving,
and good-hearted?
Well, that's how this sewing project felt.
That's what this project brought to my day.

This day, the pack and I need to saunter back up Coyote Hill
to water the garden.
Then I can call this day good.

It's a good life.
