It was said to me today
you learned you can love again
yet
I'm not so sure it's that I needed to learn to love again
but that
I needed to rescue a doggie and show to him 
 he can live safely with a family. 
It was also said to me today
we all need to rescue and love 
and yes they are the same because love rescues us. 
And then 
it was said to me
one day down the road you'll notice that he rescued you.

I dearly love your words. They often make me stop and think, and I often conclude that ours minds are wired similarly.

I lost my beloved, joined-at-the-hip companion a couple years ago. It took me over a year to be ready to rescue another. I was getting lonely, taking my walks in the woods without her. The bonding is different this time, but love is always a good idea...especially if it works both ways. ♡
