Fair days at home. Fair Days at the Fair.

*****

My mornings begin promptly with a walk up Coyote Hill,
my Allies leading the way.
We visit the prayer flag forest, we visit the garden, we sit together for a moment of rest.

Mister Jones and I have been frequenting the Alaska State Fair.
Some of my favourite things to check on are the vegetables and flowers.
Mister Jones insisted we walk out to France Equestrian Center to see if any horses are out
in their enclosures. A gentle giant of a horse called Mister Jones over,
and it was almost comical how the two of them posed for a photo,
like they knew...
And, then, we spent three hours on Saturday and three hours on Sunday at the rodeo.
Sunday's weather was absolutely awesome,
and as we walked about the fairgrounds and sat in the grandstand,
I got me some colour on my face.

We are making our way through this life, together most days, separately, other days.
I find myself feeling content and joyful, pleased with how life is unfolding,
mostly pleased with my reaction to the unfolding.

It's a good life.
