This Perfect Day.

Sometimes I just need to take my cat on a walk,
just me-n-him.
That's just what we did, Milo and I, and when it's just him-n-me
I allow him to choose the route into-and-through the forests.
The trip up Coyote Hill was a quick one, but once we were out in the woods,
we slowed our pace, examining the forest floor and the trees,
listening to birdsong, enjoying the sunshine.

There was magic in the numbers today — 42F/5.5C -> 72F/22.2C — and the day was
good and perfect from start to completion.
There must be something to that thing I have heard repeatedly for the past 25 years:
I cannot change others, and, I’m not in charge.

Oh, and this: a New Moon and a totally apropos reading
with *this* card as the “pull” for my Current Surroundings — The Queen of Pentacles
from the This Might Hurt tarot deck.

Nothing is by mistake, and, by golly, it’s a good life.

Have missed you bunches in these times of figuring out how to keep moving. <3 Glad you are here, you and Milo, and sharing your words and your wisdom - I cannot change others, and I'm not in charge. Phew. Really. Changing my own self is challenging enough, but I'm holding to the possibility. Grateful for you.
