spent and replenished.

The past few days have left me mentally spinning and emotionally spent. Sometimes the days are overfull and bordering on wildly crazy. I don’t like feeling this way. Recently I was attempting to explain to someone that I wish to cease thinking and I wanna just BE. Be present in the moment. Be present in silence. I did not like the response to what I stated, because I spoke my feelings and felt dismissed, as if what I stated was vacuous and too difficult to achieve. So, I have been journaling on the inability to control and change anyone but myself. If that’s the case, then, is that how I should choose my friends, who I choose to spend my time with? Maybe. I think so. I *feel* so.

Today I chose to make @farmersdottir and @mountainfieldfarm my last stops of an errand-filled day. I am sure that the Heavenlies knew what my too-full brain and my empty spirit needed: a head of lettuce, a sweet little stationery packet, a bouquet of field flowers, and a quiet visit with my “small kindred” (as I call this person). I *know* that the visit was a Gift, because I walked away with my spirit feeling restored and replenished.

Oh, and, can you see the sun trying to shine through the tiny clearing in the cloud cover? That, too, was a Gift and a sign that everything is gonna be alright.

Every little thing is gonna be alright. This has become a mantra for me. Also, This too shall pass. Sure wish I knew when.

I also experienced a whirlwind week, and then spent today in a fog, just couldn't focus and accomplished nothing. Also having a nasty bout of insomnia. For me, being tired just makes everything bigger.

I understand about people not understanding the essence of your words, and getting pushed aside. This used to happen to me all the time! So frustrating, and hurtful! I finally just quit sharing...now I just think "Too bad for you, you don't get to know me. Your loss." Haha. But...like you said, I can't change other people, only me. And I strive to acheive that every day.

I am also learning to/practicing Being in the moment. I think we have lost many things, values, as a result of how fast our world has become. It saddens me.

Your flowers are stunning ♡ I love the photos you share. They speak deeply to me...your coffee mugs (you have the best collection!), your small trinkets, stones, prayer flags, and, of course, the land. I dreamed of living in Alaska since a young age. Alas, it's not looking promising at this point.

Be well, beautiful one...♡
