wandering out and about.

the snowy rain finally gave in, gave us a reprieve from chilly moisture. 
the skies remained grey but the birds were flitting about, rejoicing that they had 
dry weather for gathering at the birdfeeder. 

this tiny female woodpecker and several chickadees greeted me
as i went out and about in the yard this evening.

That bird looks so pretty...love it.
We had rain most of the night after being in the 90s and fire all around...
I had one wet cat and one angry cat who did not approve of the rain : )

my little peepers moved to the barn last night--
they have the cutest little henhouse that must seem huge to them!
sure is quiet inside now, though...
kinda got used to their company.
