sockfeet propped on table. 
hot pack on shoulder and arm. 

book in lap. 

cup of hot tea - with honey and cream, of course - at hand. 

the house is oh-so-quiet, 
with the only noise being the rock tumbler rotating its contents, 
and traffic passing by on the road just out there. 

i am a soul at rest, enjoying this day….
