tale of the sole.

********

the last line of my blog manifesto states
i wear boots with everything.

those of you who know me well know this to be quite true.
i wear boots every day while out-and-about.
i wear boots while on duty as a nurse.
yes.

recently, it was time to invest in new footwear.
moving past the tales of an old injury to my knee, sustained while
sledding down woolston hill many winters ago,
and a wonky SI joint,
my body is happy only when wearing minimalist shoes.
i define this as no heel and walking very close to the earth.

my closest friends also know that i refer to myself as a hobbit.
i'm short, will never be elven-thin,
and i am almost always in a dress, leggins, a scarf, wool socks, and boots.

so when i found myself in need of new winter footgear,
i turned to my favourite brand - trippen - and my favourite shoe boutique -
pedshoes.

dayna fixed me right up with not-one-but-two pairs of trippen boots.

these boots are an investment, but also is taking care of my body, my spirit, my soul.
and i proudly tell everyone who asks -
these are trippen boots….hand-made in germany….
sold online at www.pedshoes.com.

****

thank you, dayna….
thank you from my heart
down to my happy little hobbit soles….

LOVE that top pair! And good shoes are essential for healthy knees, hips and back. Keep the fancy footwear, give me something functional and *good* for me!

I'm a Birkenstock girl but these boots look awesome! Wish it was cold enough here to wear something other than sandals....
And may I say...you rock the boots! xx

i knew you were not a dress-shoe sort of girl….

trippen shoes fit much like birkenstocks. they have the same type of cork/leather insole.
