WDYDWYD :: knitting as meditation.

********

several years ago,
i was asked to knit this or that particular item for people.
a hobbit-type toque for a young man turned into a project for
his several friends....all of them wanting matching hats.

thereafter, at the request of so many people,
i began knitting fingerless mittens,
and have lost count of how many pairs i have freely given.
even one pair for a male....

never once have i charged any monies for the things i have knitted.
from the beginning stage of planning the project through to
each stitch
i hold each prospective recipient in my thoughts.
the time spent knitting turns into meditation for that soul.

a beautiful and expressive movement of people answering the simple question
combining an image and text in a creative way.

Oh I love this. I attempted to restart my knitting 2 years ago. It is meditative, but I struggle. Time to try again. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
