roadtripping to chena hot springs.

********

eagle after eagle, hunting from their posts in the spruce forest.
butt-up swans eating from the river floor.
the pipeline, winding here and there, above and below the tundra.
summit lake.
paxson lake.
isabel pass.
michael creek.

a visit to santa claus house.
breaking into tears when he said i remember you from when you visited me as a child.
reading all those letters from children, hand-written to santa.

bitter cold winds.
realizing i forgot to pack gloves.
purchasing funny little polar bear gloves at the local grocery.

a little white goat, peering out from its shelter.
reindeer.
chickens in their feeding trough.
a tour of the geothermal renewable energy system.
gray jays.
beautiful flower baskets, in the greenhouse to be clipped for spring planting.
koi just for fun.
soaking in the hot springs lake 'til we were bone-tired and sleepy.

traveling homeward, holding hands and singing to the music.

it's a good life......

I can't believe you- YOU forgot gloves or mitts!!! How is that even possible!
But, those little funny furry ones are cute.
I would have cried too...did you visit when you were a child?
Soaking in hot springs lake! I know exactly how you felt.
What a day, Bernard.
