electricity outage.

electricity outage last evening:
approximately 8 hours' worth.

i'm pleased as punch with the photo above:
in
sewing/studio room.
very soothing light.
did some  yoga.
ate my "breakfast" by candlelight.

i feel like a real alaskan woman
yet
i feel like a woman of the world.
sew my own dresses.
wear polarfleece over said dresses.
leggings
and
*trippen* boots.
drive a jeep.
work night shift.
feel at home in the woods
yet
know how to take myself to the local outpost
for a $3.50 shower
[when there's no electricity in the house]
before heading into work.

i love my life:
life is good.

hope your life is just what you wish for, too....

I used to love those power outages in the mountains, so lovely and quiet until one of our neighbors bought a generator, ugh!

P.S. What kind of trippen boots do you have? I went to the website and there appeared to be many kinds.....

ro: yes, so quiet. went outside with my headlamp for light, walked around in the snow. so quiet 'til a 4-wheel ATV went rippin' down the road. someone always has to spoil it....

songbird: love my trippens. have worn several styles in the past 10 years. [ascot, mexico, haferl, zeus, to name a few....] they are *not* snowboots but they are my staples every day of my life. sorels i wear in the deep snow....
