a walkabout.

********

the evening.
nature:
she called me out of the house.
come....
come outside....wander about....

my body is ill.
[and here i go again: i don't know why, but....]
most likely from working in the cold rain,
harvesting the garden.

i fell into bed this morning, bundled from neck to toes.
coyote blanket layered on quilted velvet.
silk scarf tied around my neck.
sweating it out.
the only way i know to get past this.
still: when i awoke, i felt the need to go outside
and wander about the yard.
camera in hand.
sunlight streaming.
my heart reaching outward.
a prayer to feel something other than what i was feeling.

a good healthy dose of beets
and
a couple cups of tea.

all will be fine.
life is good.
no matter what....

Oh no! Take care and hope you feel better quickly!!!!
This calls for loads of TLC! Sending you hugs and love.
And I agree- a little travelling in nature is healing just like chicken soup! xo

I remember Grandma used to wear scarves wrapped around her neck (and an onion sack on her head, for headaches, she would say if you asked)

well, then: that's probably where i got the notion to almost-always have a scarf around my neck!!
and, yes: i DO remember the onion net on her head. HAHha!
[i tell people these little quirks....and they look at me....ah, life with grandma....!]
