that's what friends are for.

********

my baby girl pinto, my BGFF, has been quite needy lately.
she is clingy and sensitive and wants to be near somebody-anybody these days.
while driving to the city yesterday,
i happened to glance back into the rear seat of the big ol' dodge truck,
and pinto was napping on her baby-brother's backside.

i love her so much.
[i love them both so much.]
i wish i could take away her sorrow and her fear,
just like when she was first adopted off the streets of a north carolina city.
it will take a while for her trust to resurface.
it will.
slowly.
surely.

****

speaking of friends:
i wish i could dogpile all my friends and just lay around with them,
rest my tuckered-out soul on their hearts,
and soak up all their lovin'.
for now, i'll do it by donning as much silver as i can,
and carry the rest in my pockets....
because, well, shucks....i love you, my friends....

....and to my friends, i send you hearts and a tailstick....

....'cause they're the best bits of love i know.

****

life is good.
especially because i have the love of my friends....

That rock! Is it intricately painted? Fantastically? Whatever...it's awesome.
That paisley dress! Oh! That paisley dress! ( skirt )
With time and your lovin', Pinto girl will snap back. (No more intruders!)
Can I ask you something? How did she get from the Appalachians to Alaska?
I'm sorry she's had such a confusing life...
